The Gospel Path
This season we will be focusing on memorizing the Bible so that we can share the Gospel message. We will review many of the verses that we have learned in Season 1 & 2 but also add 4 new verses. The order of the verses is designed to help you walk somebody through “the Gospel Path.” Jesus told his disciples in Mark 16:15, “And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.“ and this season we want to equip ourselves to use God’s Word to carry out that task.
Many people are afraid to share the Gospel because they are afraid somebody might ask a question they don’t know the answer to, or they are afraid they don’t know enough. In Luke 12:11& 12 we learn that the Holy Spirit will give us what we need to say to share God’s Word with somebody. “And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” What a great promise from our Lord that He will provide us the things to say when the time is right, but this promise does not mean that we can neglect our responsibility to study the scriptures and to learn them so that we may be better equipped to share. In 2 Timothy 2:15 we are told to, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” This means that we are to do what we can to prepare and study, but when the time is right to tell about Jesus to a friend, coworker, or somebody that we just met, the Holy Spirit will provide the words that we need to effectively share the Gospel. Isn’t that Great – God does the work, all we need to do is be ready.
This season we will work to help prepare you to share, from Scripture, the Gospel message. Using many of the verses that we have already learned we will weave them together into a Gospel path that starts with our sin problem, walks through Jesus’s sacrifice and arrives at a place of forgiveness and sharing with others. We hope and pray that this is helpful for you in your walk with Jesus and your sharing the best news in all of the Earth with those around you.

Romans 10:14-15 | How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” |
Romans 1:16 | For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. |
